Eating Dirt: a human hell realm

Buddhist perdition -- the many "hells" briefly described -- strain credulity. However, some of these "worlds" apparently exist on earth among animals (i.e., in the ocean depths being uncovered) and among various human populations. Extraordinary forms of novel suffering present themselves from time to time in news reports, one more bizarre than the next. In this example, starving human beings are forced to resort to dust as food in Haiti.
